Brendon Todd moved a step closer to completing a PGA Tour effort that was rare after opening up a two-shot lead in the RSM Classic in Georgia. Todd, looking to become the first player to win three consecutive PGA Tour events, posted a 62 at Sea Island. The American, who was world No 525 till he accompanied success by winning the Mayakoba Classic on Monday, heads to the last round on 18 under and two clear of the chasing pack. Webb Simpson is among just two players after bogeying two of the last seven holes sharing next together with Colombias Sebastien Munoz , with DJ Trehan a further stroke back in fourth. Starting the weekend strokes off the lead, Todd emptied a and followed a 10-foot profit by picking up shots in both the ninth and seventh and observing back-to-back birdies. Reaching the turn at 29, Todd wrapped in an 10-footer at the 17th and moved forward with a profit at the 11th, before shutting his card in the past with a lip-out from long range. While Munoz submitted three birdies in a four-hole extend out of the 11th on his approach to get within two of the lead simpson moved up the leaderboard with a blemish-free 63. Overnight leader Tyler Duncan slipped into a talk of their fifth after producing 18 pars together with Swedens Henrik Norlander leading the interest, to remain under for the week and at tied-eighth.
