The Tampa Bay Rays hope to respond Friday night in Anaheim, as they Start a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Rays are arriving in the middle of a funk to California. They dropped their two matches in a three-game series against the Rangers by dozens of 6-4 and 10-9 at Texas. The Rays got comfortable following a 5-3 win in the opener. It was on the heels of a six-game winning series for the Rays. They were 11-1 in their previous twelve matches, and so the Rays were scoring sexy. It was unrealistic to feel they were planning to keep winning this rate. But they must prevent a thud now. Regardless of the run they moved , the Rays are clinging on to a spot in the postseason in the American League. They are trying to fend off the Indians for the last wildcard. Currently, that the Rays have a game edge on the Indians and also are a half game back from the Athletics to get homefield in the Wild Card Game. Without that run from the Rays, they are not at the postseason now, however. Variance may be an ugly thing to get a team and the Rays are hoping that the last two games aren’t a greater signal to come. This show on the west coast in Anaheim is important. By the close of the weekend, they may be looking at the postseason in the exterior, in possession of the wildcard, or have homefield advantage. There’s a lot happening and it should make for an exciting end. Charlie Morton expects to maintain the fireworks to a minimal for the Angels tonight. Although has managed to settle down fortunately he has torched a couple of games before. Five-year Angel, Andrew Heaney, is expected to counter to the Angels. Head below for our complimentary Rays vs. Angels pick. Betting odds offered by The best pitchers in baseball understand how to put performances after season lows. It’s very tough to avoid a bad place here , also Charlie Morton found the hard way out lately against the Houston Astros. Morton was pummeled against his former team for 6 earned runs at a 15-1 loss. Rather than sticking it Morton was all around the area. He could have gone into that one sense a little overly excited and it just caused a lack of control. His mind wasn’t clear that is for certain. Morton managed to prove that it wasn’t a prelude to worse to come. He neutralized the Indians in a nice outing and got back into the saddle. Morton held them hits and 1-run in 5.1 innings of work. He was commendable in his next start, resulting in the Rays into a win over the Blue Jays. Morton surrendered 3 earned runs in 6 innings in that one. He’s been effective against the Angels in his career, as they have hit .224 against him. The Angels got to him for a triumph in his most recent appearance against them, however. Andrew Heaney is average, however, the Angels are fairly comfortable understanding what type of functionality they will get from him. Being always average on the bulge will have to alter in Anaheim but he could carve out a wonderful career. Heaney posted an ERA of all 4.15 last year and has a 4.30 ERA going into tonight. He owns an ERA of 4.24 and also 1.29 WHIP in his last three outings, together with a 4.47 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in the home. Vanilla for Heaney across the plank. His last two outings are anything but vanilla. As 8 earned runs in his past 11 innings has been enabled by Heaney they have appeared a bit tacky. Fortunately, he was stored by the crime at an 8-7 win against the White Sox, but he did not get the same. He may be average tonightbut I do not think that’s going to be good enough Morton night. The Rays got the losses out of the system in Arlington and I find them getting back on track. Happy Friday the 13th everybody! Read more:
